Can you become a firefighter with a misdemeanor 4 inflicting corporal injury on spouse?

I got charged and convicted for bitting my wife in the hand when she was pocking my eyeball. I served 4yrs in the army as an MP, i have a two year degree, i was innocent but got convicted with a misdemeanor. Help me out!!!Can you become a firefighter with a misdemeanor 4 inflicting corporal injury on spouse?
Get it expunged after a year and you wont have to worry about it.Can you become a firefighter with a misdemeanor 4 inflicting corporal injury on spouse?
I was also a M.P. in Korea and Presidio. I'm sure at some time in that 4 years you have handled domestic violence at best we never know what we were about to walk into. How do I answer this? So you never bite your wife? They convicted you on her word and no physical evidence. You know in your heart that this never happened or you have relationship issues, I don't know I do know that cases I have handled checking previous reports show there is a cause to think something did happen not saying you did but you want to enter a high risk high stress job and in your heart only you know so you have to search your soul and if you do have issues you need to deal with them because they will really intensify and you don't want that.. I don't think one incident will stop you but they will look at you from top to bottom, if there is something to show up it will. I did enough investigating to know that. Good luck.
I think it would only slow you down if it was a felony. Misdemenors don't ussually carry too much wieght. But now a days things are getting stricter and some applications do ask about misdemenors.

If you servered in the Military then chances are you'll be accepted as a fire fighter I think. Most people ussually have alot of respect for people who have served in the military. Not me though because according to belief.com or religion.com I';m suppose to become a Quaker. Sorry to hear about your wife. My father was a battered man too. You can seek help for your situation. There is a really good book on the subject called Abused Men. Authors last name is Cook I think. You could google search it.
i think they just ask if you have a felony, my dad had a DUI and domestic that was really old but he is a firefighter
