Is there a law that protects non-citizens from getting abused by their citizen spouse?

Is there a law that protects non-U.S. citizens that are married to a U.S. citizen that is using them and abusing them? and the non-citizen would still be able to get a green card instead of getting deported? Is there a law that protects non-citizens from getting abused by their citizen spouse?
The same domestic abuse/assault laws apply to a non-citizen that apply to citizens. Abuse is not legal - it doesn't matter if the person being abused is a US citizen or not.

If the person is in the country illegally, there is no way to ensure that they will not be deported once they come to the attention of the authorities. That's up to the INS.Is there a law that protects non-citizens from getting abused by their citizen spouse?
The first link is the home page, the second is the article to the right section.

Good Luck and God Bless.
not sure on the deported, but i do know that any human on american soil has every right of an american. So she has the right to not have spousal abuse and can file criminal charges against him. That being said, they might be deported afterwards.
Abuse is abuse. Citizenship is irrelevant. Filing an abuse complaint against your spouse should not affect any green card application.
Of course. No-one is allowed to abuse anyone else. It's the law. For immigration questions though, you better visit a lawyer.
welcome to America, get a gun
